About this Event
In honor of AAPI Heritage Month, we are offering two weekends of festivities that celebrate Sikh art and culture in conjunction with our exhibition I Will Meet You Yet Again: Contemporary Sikh Art.
Join us for a film screening, North Indian classical music performance, and mehfil (concert) of Panjabi songs.
At 4 pm, Punjabi Art Collective (PAC) will host a screening of A Witness Amongst the Bodies: Surviving Bluestar, followed by a moderated conversation between PAC and curators Sonia Dhami and Syona Puliady. At 5:30 pm, Sikh Symphony will present a live performance of North Indian classical music on Sikh heritage instruments. The evening will conclude with a mehfil (concert) by renowned vocalist Ishmeet Narula & her band exploring the compositions of poets of Panjab, including those that thread through the exhibition.
