The ratings for Five Network News are unhealthy. Audience numbers are dropping and the tension in the studio is rising. What will it take to get people to tune in once more? Veteran news anchor Jack Newman believes the answer is simple. Return to the good old days of having just one presenter – him – and get rid of his co-anchor, the former lingerie model Dayni Hart. Ratings soar though, as everyone switches on to see how little girl Amy Durant fares in her fight against leukaemia. A dark comedy that explores just where the line is drawn between viewing pleasure and unconscionable pain.
