There’s a genre called Siberian Surf Rock. Igor Yuzov invented it.Born in Germany and raised in Ukraine, Igor came to America chasing what he called “forbidden rock’n’roll from the former Soviet Union” — blending Soviet-era folk with rockabilly, surf guitar, funk, and reggae into something that has no right to work as well as it does. For 30 years, Igor & The Red Elvises have built a devoted following through relentless touring and a live show with one consistent promise: everyone dances.
They scored the cult film Six-String Samurai, played Live 8 Moscow alongside the Pet Shop Boys, and have 66 dates on their 2026 calendar. Fans of Gogol Bordello, Reverend Horton Heat, and DeVotchKa will feel right at home.
This isn’t background music. It’s a full-throttle dance party in a historic West Texas theatre. Come ready to move.
