The early Shrimps tapes followed in the tradition of home taping popsters such as R Stevie Moore, Daniel Johnston and Ween. Band lead Skyler Nowinski creates woozy, wah-wah drenched, relentlessly rhythmic party songs and weirdo pop grooves joined by Mariel Oliveira on synths, Dan Dukich on bass, Alana Horton on drums, and Jared Hemming on auxiliary percussion.
