Julie Jones is a global Instagram star thanks to her carefully crafted, beautifully styled pies, tarts and bakes.
After training as a chef and doing work experience at the Fat Duck, Julie dreamt of working in Michelin starred kitchens. However, her dream was set back when her mother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of dementia. While caring for her Mum, Julie started baking with her as a mutual form of therapy. Soon, her eye-catching bakes and emotional outpourings were resonating with people across the world, gaining her a large and loyal fanbase. She has now gone on to write three books, including Expressions: Art in Pastry, The Pastry School and Soulful Baker and appeared on TV and radio – including BBC’s Yes Chef with Pierre Koffmann, Nadiya Bakes with Nadiya Hussain, BBC R4’s The Food Programme.
Join Julie in the Food & Drink Studio for an interactive session and try your hand at creating your own Easter showstopper before sitting down to enjoy a slice of tart with a cup of tea!
