About this Event
Show’s Over is a family drama about a Cantonese comedian and his terminally ill aunt, exploring themes of compassion, dignity, and what it means to show up for our loved ones.
Our core team is proudly Cantonese American, with roots spanning Guangzhou, Guangxi, Hong Kong, and Chinatowns across the US and Canada. Come join our community-driven fundraiser that brings together food, film, and storytelling. We aim to raise $1,500 for the production, and the writer-director Jenny M. Ng will match all donations.
Our event will feature homemade dishes from the director, a screening of her last short film Casualties (premiered at 2025 Local Sightings Film Festival), and a short presentation about the upcoming film. The silent auction will include special items courtesy of
