CKA: Leadership and Professional Development
Learning Event Summary:
This training helps child care leaders strengthen their professional presence and leadership skills when communicating about their programs. Participants will learn how to communicate effectively, prepare with confidence, and represent their programs in ways that build trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships.
Learning Outcomes:
1 . Learners will identify the key elements of professional presence and how they impact relationships with licensors, funders, families, and community partners.
2 . Learners will demonstrate interview and meeting readiness by organizing materials, preparing responses, and presenting themselves with clarity and confidence.
3 . Learners will create and deliver a clear, professional elevator pitch that effectively communicates their child care program’s value and purpose.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
