About this Event
Nevada Youth Day of Service
About: The Nevada Youth Day of Service is a statewide, youth-led service initiative taking place during Nevada Reading Week. Volunteers will support literacy-focused service by collecting, sorting, and preparing donated books for youth-serving nonprofit organizations across Nevada. Leading up to the event, students will help manage book donation boxes at their schools and participate in the Nevada Youth Volunteer Challenge, logging service hours and building statewide engagement. On March 7, 2026, volunteers will gather to sort donations, assemble literacy kits, and prepare materials for distribution to community partners. Volunteers will receive official service hour documentation and recognition through Nevada Volunteers Youth Empowerment and the Mayor’s Office.
Join us for food, refreshments, volunteerism, civic engagement, special guests, and AWARDS!
