About this Event
Join local artist and small business owner, Sierra Otto at JORJY for an evening with Sierra Winter Studio! A one of a kind art show you do not want to miss.
Sierra Otto’s introduction to collage began in her high school art room, where a supply closet held stacks of National Geographic magazines from the 1960s and 70s. She was drawn to the grainy photography and the tactile quality of the paper, often cutting the pages apart to create whimsical collages in her notebooks and other art projects.
Years later, while working as a jewelry designer, she found herself searching for another creative outlet. That exploration led her back to collage and ultimately to the creation of Sierra Winter Studio, where she combines her interests in jewelry, landscapes, surrealism, and storytelling.
Show Ponies and Lover’s Eyes explores images of the American West, blending Southwestern landscapes, horses, and the artist’s love for the history of adornment. Each piece is built from found materials, vintage magazines, art books, and Sierra’s own sunset photography.
