Have you ever wanted to sing that song from that musical and own the character and the monument?
Have you ever thought “I always wanted to play that role and say those words.”
Have you ever thought… I wonder what it would be like to completely own the stage?
Why not join us at SHOW OFF! Similar to an open night mic performers can sign up on a first come first serve basis and wow the audience. Bring your own backing-track and sing your heart out from a musical of your choice, perform a monologue or scene from any theatrical play you’ve always wanted to do, or just come and support those who come to share their gifts and talents in variety, music, acting, dance….
SHOW OFF! is a fundraiser jointly held by Groundlings Theatre and Mary Rose Productions.
Mary Rose Productions was formed to break through glass ceilings and give everyone a chance to celebrate the talents Portsmouth has to offer and the live theatre experience. Mary Rose Productions is preparing for our maiden production and while we have financial support from the Arts Council England to support our project, the Dead Theatre Society Project, culminating in performances of David Hare’s Amy’s View, we are reliant on reaching our goal of £3000 on our Crowdfunder to support the workshops, talks, rehearsals, and production of the project. Therefore, we are asking you to donate what you can at the night of SHOW OFF!
The donations will be split 50/50 with Groundlings to not only support our theatrical project, but to support the theatre for all they do for our Portsmouth theatrical community.
Tickets do not need to be pre-booked for this event.
Instead we will ask for a donation on leaving.
