About this Event
Event Description:
Show Me the Receipts: How Donor Trust Actually Gets Built is an interactive session for development professionals that reframes donor trust as something verifiable rather than a feeling — trust is what the receipts add up to, the sum of promises made and kept. The session distinguishes between visible receipts (the Donor Bill of Rights and AFP Code of Ethical Standards) and invisible receipts (the underground network of internal handoffs, follow-through, and timing), arguing they're the same category and that most of the receipts deciding whether a donor trusts an organization are invisible to the donor. Built around three short exercises, participants define trust concretely, map the receipts their donors see and don't see, and leave with one specific 30-day commitment named to a witness at their table — held together by the mantra: Make a promise. Keep it. Make another. Keep it
Attendees will enjoy complimentary charcuterie paired with wine provided by Opolo.
