If you are feeling a little overwhelmed by the constant flood of breathless AI news, join the club. It feels like every day there is a new tool we are all supposed to master by yesterday.
"Show Me Something Cool With AI" is our antidote to that overwhelming feeling.
This is a casual, monthly gathering where we ignore the tech hype and just look at what this stuff can actually do for us. You do not need to know how to code. You do not need to be a prompt engineer. You just need to be curious.
Want to see what we've covered in past meetups? Visit our Cool Stuff Feed where we collect and share real (and cool!) use cases: http://ai.learntoscale.us/
We created this space because the best way to get comfortable with new technology is to play with it in a room full of supportive people.
Here is what we do at SMSCWAI:
- The Sandbox (45 mins): We start with the fun stuff. We might generate ridiculous movie posters of our pets, make AI write a silly song, or sketch a picture on a napkin and watch a tool turn it into a working website. Playing is the fastest way to learn, and we keep the stakes incredibly low.
- The Practical Pivot (15 mins): Once we are comfortable, we look at one real, everyday business problem. I will show you exactly how leaders are using AI to stop doing the boring work. We might look at how to clean up a messy spreadsheet in seconds or how to draft a quick policy so your team can use these tools safely.
- Open Floor (the whole time): Bring your questions, share something weird you found, or just hang out.
Who is this for? Small business leaders, creative folks, HR professionals, and anyone who wants to peek behind the chatbox. If you want to understand how AI can help you save time and boost your creativity without feeling like you are sitting in a computer science lecture, you belong here.
Grab a coffee, bring your curiosity, and come see or share something cool.
