[Show] Earth 2, Ephemera, Average Age 50 #HIF2025

The 2025 Hartford Improv Festival is proud to present this improv comedy show featuring these great teams!

Malcolm and Peter are travelers from Earth 2, an alternate world almost exactly like yours, only sporting events launch sweaters out of cannons instead of tee shirts. The explorers travel to unusual worlds, telling one long comedy story in each location, searching all the while for a way back to their home planet.

Formed in October of 2022, Ephemera is a Musical Improv House Team at the Magnet Theater in New York City, where they recently celebrated their 100th show. Ephemera is known for their cohesive narratives, strong characters, theatrical choices, pattern recognition, and well-balanced harmonies. In Beneath the Music: An Improvised Music Documentary, Ephemera will take an audience suggestion of a hit song that doesn’t exist, then tell the story of an imagined musician/musical group featuring all their successes and pitfalls while also leaning into the tropes of a documentary format.

We, Josh and Jack, are two varietals blended together more than seven years ago to create Average Age 50, which keeps getting subtler, mellower, and more sophisticated--but never old!  Our fans say they love watching our scenes because we so enjoy each other’s company and playing together.  That fits right in with our goal as friends and fellow players.  We’ve found that when we have fun, the audience has fun. And we always have fun!
