The premise of ‘Show and Tell’ is simple: Just like being back at school, albeit a tad older, come along to hear other grown-ups ‘Show and Tell’ us about an object in their life + its meaning to an intimate, warm and curious audience. So many objects we have in our lives carry sentiment and stories unique to us- ‘Show and Tell’ is a space for you to celebrate that meaningfulness with a receptive audience, and for the audience to celebrate that meaningfulness with you.
If you choose to ‘show’ on the night- nervousness, shyness and shakiness is welcome! ‘Show and Tell’ is not a polished performance/storytelling evening, but a celebration of the meaningful objects in everyday peoples lives. We encourage you to get up there and give it a go- perhaps you’d like a few prompts to help you, or you’re happy to take questions the whole time. Use the 5 minute time limit however you feel comfortable. Or just sit back and listen to the stories of others over a cuppa or two.
