SHOSTAKOVICH SYMPHONY No. 5 – 2pm SUNDAY 2nd March 2025The Australasian Orchestra (AO) will commence its 2025 symphonic performances explosively with Dmitri Shostakovich's iconic and exciting Symphony No. 5! The program will also include Felix Mendelssohn's perfect Hebrides Overture, Australian composer George Dreyfus's picturesque Rush theme (from the Australian TV show), & Max Bruch's timeless Kol Nidrei with AO's Minh-Quan Nguyen as the cello soloist. The concert will be conducted by the orchestra's Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Robert Dora.
