We're almost at the end of our 2023/2024 season so don't miss our May screening: Disconnected at Z-Bar Berlin.We will be screening three short films with a Q&A with the directors and of course, make sure to make the time to have a drink with us and the directors at Z-Bar.

Short #1: "FIRST WORK, THEN PLAY", Brenda Lien
Fiction, 19 min
Maxi´'s stress level is at an all time high: She is pushing herself to release her almost finished album, but extreme perfectionism is blocking her creativity. The downward spiral is fueled by her precarious situation as a freelancer and non-existent social life. While chasing her dreams and the most effective self-care products, Maxi realises she needs to exorcise her inner cop and make peace with her inner child. But stepping off the hamster wheel is easier said than done…
Short #2: "Vic" Luis Schubert
Fiction, 13 min
It’s influencer Vic’s birthday. A pornographic video depicting her appears online. A shit storm breaks out. She reacts quickly and posts live on Instagram: "Deepfake!". Her online community, though skeptical at first, starts to believe her when a cybersecurity startup supports her claim. Vic's follower numbers skyrocket, as we become doubtful of her credibility.
Short #3: "PRIMITIVE TIMES " Hao Yu
Animation, 5 min
It seems only natural to exchange labour for reward.But unfortunately, not everyone is satisfied with their work. Had primitive people similar problems as people in modern society? We interviewed five primitive people, let's see what they said.
The screening will take place at the Z-Bar Berlin and will start at 20h30 but make sure to come early to save a seat.
The entrance is free as always.
