SHORT COURSE: 4 WeeksWATERCOLOUR + MIXED MEDIA FACES

Mixed media faces has been one of Sim’s signature styles. She is going to show you how to create your own in term 3. Using watercolour, gouache, collage… and possibly acrylic paints and paint pens.. plus more!
Watercolour is such a peaceful medium. It can require some patience but that only helps us slow down from the busy pace of life. The action of creating will take you to a meditative place, full focus on creativity…. letting go of any other life challenges… sound blissful… yep, it is!
We will use tracing techniques to create the base drawing of the face rather than learning to draw it given we only have 4 weeks. If you would like a more in-depth experience and learn how to draw a face from scratch join the Wednesday mornings 8 week version of this course.
You will learn all the basics of watercolour plus some other mediums and Sim will guide you through her entire signature process to create your own mixed media portrait artwork.
