Shooting From Cover

This course focuses on learning the tactical application of cover and concealment in a dynamic environment. Students will learn to effectively utilize various forms of protection, both natural and man-made, to gain a tactical advantage in a firearm engagement. Topics covered include:

1. Understanding Cover vs. Concealment: Differentiating between ballistic protection and visual obstruction, and how to leverage each effectively.
2. Optimal Use of Available Cover: Techniques for shooting from and around different types of cover (e.g., vehicles, walls, barricades), maximizing protection while maintaining firing angles.
3. Movement to and from Cover: Efficient and tactical transitions between cover points, minimizing exposure and maintaining situational awareness.
4. Engaging from Non-Traditional Positions: Adapting shooting techniques to maintain accuracy and control when engaging from kneeling, prone, and compromised positions behind cover.

Decision-Making: Rapidly identifying threats and making informed decisions on when to engage, disengage, or seek better cover.
