Join Westcott Top Pro Shanyn Fiske for a fun and engaging fashion photoshoot with a professional model using Westcott equipment!
This class will guide photographers through the fundamentals of lighting and shooting a professional model portfolio that is aimed at getting models signed with reputable commercial and fashion agencies as well as secure castings and bookings.
Widely trusted by models and model agents nationally, Shanyn will take participants through a full shoot with a professional model. She will discuss everything from understanding the needs of different agencies to putting together a moodboard and styling outfits to lighting two kinds of looks: fashion and beauty.
Breakdown of Class:
- Preparing the shoot: communicating with agencies; preparing moodboards; styling; hair and makeup tips.
- Shooting a fashion look.
- Shooting a beauty look.
Q&A opportunities will be interspersed throughout the class so participants will have the chance to talk with Shanyn about any aspect of the presentation and ask questions specific to their goals.

Shanyn Fiske Bio
Shanyn Fiske is a photographer, filmmaker, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA and Brooklyn, NY. She shoots for numerous modeling agencies throughout the country and is widely trusted by agents and models alike to guide new faces on their first professional sets as well as refresh books for seasoned talent. She also shoots for brands and is heavily involved in selecting and casting models for everything from e-comm shoots to fashion campaigns. In addition to her visual practice, she teaches at Rutgers University (Camden), where she has been a tenured professor for over two decades. Shanyn holds a BA from Brown University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
