I’m beyond excited to announce that Shoop! is returning, and this one is going to be next-level. Last time, everyone was singing along to every song, dance battles were popping off, and the 90’s vibes were thicker than ever. I can’t wait to see what happens this time!
Even more dope, DJ Neil Armstrong will be on the decks! I’ve been a huge fan of Neil for years, so having him at Shoop! is truly a dream. Born and raised in New York City and now based in Hawaii, Neil transformed his passion for music and hip-hop culture into a globe-spanning DJ career, performing everything from intimate venues to massive festival stages. He’s a master turntablist and member of the legendary NYC DJ crew 5TH PLATOON, spinning hip hop, New Jack Swing, and even new wave with unmatched skill and energy.
Neil’s mixtapes, celebrated for showcasing his DJ skills and vast musical knowledge, have earned acclaim in Rolling Stone, Vibe, MTV.com, Theme, URB, and Complex. He’s collaborated with brands like Adidas, Undefeated, and Fruition, as well as major projects with NBA, BMW, and VH1. His accolades include serving as Jay-Z’s tour DJ (2008–2010) across North America, Europe, and Africa, performing at the televised 9/11 tribute at Madison Square Garden, and rocking a live set for 120,000 people at Glastonbury Festival.
