Shoes Off Writer's Night is a weekly showcase championing representation & belonging through music & entertainment. Although not a writer's round, the Writer's Night mainly features songwriters while spotlighting literary writers, filmmakers, comedians, & more.
Why "Shoes Off"? In many Asian & Pacific Islander cultures, taking your shoes off before entering your home is common, providing feelings of safety & comfort. These shows aim to bring those same feelings on & offstage, enabling everyone--especially marginalized folks--to feel more comfortable in their skin and bodies.
