About the Master Class
Join internationally recognized Japanese ceramic artist Shingo Takeuchi for a two-day, hands-on Master Class exploring handbuilding techniques that create interlocking edges and embedded structures, starting from the sphere.
All levels welcome; coiling experience is preferred.
Participants will focus on:
Building form with intention and precision
Understanding balance, rhythm, and tension in clay
Developing surface and structure simultaneously
Learning through slow, attentive handbuilding
A supportive, hands-on environment encourages curiosity, experimentation, and learning through doing.

Shingo Takeuchi, born 1955 in Seto, Japan, is internationally recognized for his refined surfaces, structural clarity, and sensitivity to form. His work is widely exhibited and collected worldwide.
