About this Event
Join Us for our Spring Open Day!
Come along for a fun-filled in-person event to celebrate Spring! We have tractor-trailer rides, foraging walks, fermenting demos, 'magic' bean planting & an intro to the Exeter Broad Bean project. We'll also be serving up a wholesome lunch filled with Shillingford veggies & serving up pastries for St Sidwells Bakehouse.
The details
- Rose Whitehouse, Shillingford's ferment extrodinaire & founder of Red Earth Ferments will be showing how to preserve hunger gap veg in a tasty ferment
- Learn more about The Exeter Broad Bean! Exeter Seed Bank has initiated this project to breed a bean which will be adapted to our soils and more resilient to the effects of our changing climate
- Wander across the farm to forage for ingredients for a seasonal tea
