Set in 1916 during the turmoil of World War I, The Choral follows the struggling choral society of Ramsden, Yorkshire, after most of its men have left for the front. Determined to keep the music alive, the committee recruits local teenage boys and brings in a new chorus master, Dr. Henry Guthrie (Ralph Fiennes) — a driven, enigmatic figure recently returned from Germany.
As conscription looms and the community faces profound uncertainty, the choir discovers that unity and music may be their strongest answer to the chaos around them.
