​Capture the delicate beauty of the sea in this relaxing and inspiring watercolor workshop! In this class, you’ll choose from a variety of beautiful shell references and learn how to turn their natural curves, ridges, and subtle colors into a luminous watercolor painting.
We’ll explore essential watercolor techniques including:
✨ Creating realistic texture with layered brushwork
✨ Building depth through shadows and highlights
✨ Blending soft coastal color palettes
✨ Using water control to create dimension and form
You’ll discover how light interacts with the shell’s surface and how to translate that into transparent washes, rich shadows, and detailed accents. Whether you love soft neutrals or want to experiment with bolder seaside hues, this class gives you the freedom to make it your own.
