Sheldon Blackman, the singer songwriter from Trinidad & Tobago, with a delightful sounds and graces on stage.
You can be sure of an entertaining set filled with Originals and some Carribbean favourites in the mix. Sheldon was born into the musical royal family of Trinidad & Tobago - his father, Garfield Blackman Ras Shorty I, aka Lord Shorty created the now national musical style of Soca and founded the family band, The Love Circle.
After his father passed on in 2000, Sheldon led the Love Circle as well as starting his own solo career and now has a catalogue of six studio albums. In 2008 Sheldon move to Norway after coming and going for 10 year before that and has since established his band in Norway along with projects such as Open Xpression together with Nordic Black Theatre. Sheldon's music is deep and thought provoking and at the same time uplifting and irresistibly danceable. His songs defy genre, but have been described by Sheldon as when "soca, reggae and calypso meet jazzy blues and urban music"
