Join SheJumps at Eaglecrest Ski Area for the first ever Wild Skills Jr. Ski Patrol on Sunday, March 15th!
About this Event

Join us for SheJumps Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol, a day camp for girls at Eaglecrest Ski Area on Sunday, 03/15/2026. Participants will learn mountain safety and first aid while working with the strong women of Eaglecrest Ski Area Patrol. This event is intended for intermediate to expert skiers/snowboarders ages 8-14.

This SheJumps Wild Skills event is structured as a full-day camp experience. Parents/legal guardians drop off participants for the day, who are then split into teams based on their skier ability. Throughout the day, participants are taught a range of outdoor skills that are utilized by ski patrollers to keep the mountain safe. We will work alongside patrollers and volunteers to learn more about the many facets of mountain safety and first aid.

SheJumps is an inclusive organization. We welcome all women and girls—transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary people.

Date: 3/15/2026

Cost: this event costs $30 and doesn’t include the cost of a lift ticket; participants are responsible for supplying their own lift ticket or season pass for the day. Scholarships are available and cover the cost of registration and a lift ticket!

Thanks to a Juneau Youth Activities grant, this program is partially funded by the Citizens of the City and Borough of Juneau through sales tax revenues.

Schedule for the Day*

On the day of the event, you’ll check in at registration which will be open from 10:00 at Fish Creek Lodge. At registration you will meet up with your team for the day. The teams will consist of 1 ski patroller, 2-3 SheJumps volunteers, and 8 participants of similar ski ability.

At 10:00 we will start the day with an all teams morning meeting covering ski patrol basics, weather, and our agenda for the day.

From there, teams will break out and proceed to their various stations throughout the mountain. Stations cover topics that could include first aid, mountain safety, toboggan use, weather and avalanche basics & prevention.

LUNCH: Location TBD

We will wrap up with the remainder of station visits and completion certificates handed out at 3:30 pm.

Parents can pick up their kids at Fish Creek Lodge. We invite you to stay for the Girl Winter Film Festival from 4:30-6:00 as a continuation of our Get the Girls Out extravaganza!
