General Trail Description: We will be hiking Bridle Trail which is 2.6 miles long and covers 187ft of elevation gain. We anticipate this hike will take 1-1.5 hours amount of time.
This loop takes by the Martson Point gateway to the Martson house and Upas Street entrance, looping back via the west end park trails. You’ll pass the Pine Grove picnic area, Cypress Point picnic area, Redwood Circle, and the Bowling Green. There are a few spots along the way to stop at restroom facilities. You’ll pass Nate’s point dog park right before the Cabrillo bridge. This is considered a San Diego urban trail and has a mix of dirt and pavement as its winds throughout the west portion of Balboa Park.
We will modify the start and end point of the All Trails loop to begin and end near our meeting point.- AllTrails will be providing premium codes for all hike participants and send swag to volunteers to hand out to participants!
