Athens heats up this summer with an unforgettable night of three Georgia legends, punk energy, and fearless rock ’n’ roll as SHEHEHE, Five Eight, and James Hall’s The Ladies of... take over the 40 Watt Club on Friday, August 7, 2026.
Closing the evening out is SHEHEHE, the punk-rock powerhouse trio known for their explosive live performances, razor-sharp hooks, and a fierce blend of garage rock, punk, and glitter-soaked attitude. Athens underground icons Five Eight bring their raw emotional intensity and hard-hitting alternative rock sound to the stage for their next hometown performance. Led by the legendary Mike Mantione, Five Eight has remained a cornerstone of the Southern indie rock scene for decades, earning devoted fans through cathartic songwriting, relentless touring, and unforgettable live shows that balance grit, vulnerability, and sheer volume. The band is also riding high on momentum surrounding their recently released 2026 album Help a Sinner, their first full-length release in nearly a decade, featuring the singles “Take Me to the Skate Park” and “I’m Alone.” The new material channels everything longtime fans love about Five Eight — honest lyrics, massive hooks, and emotional urgency — while proving the band is still creating some of the most vital rock music of their career.
