About this Event
We're back for our third annual Thanksgiving morning event!
This year's Turkey Trot will start and end in Sheffield Village Park. The fun run course will follow an approximately one mile, clockwise loop up Marlow up to Brookfield, right on Covington all the way to Marlow, right on Marlow and back to the park (see route map below).
Participants may decide to walk or run any of the following options:
- Single serving (one loop/1.06 mile)
- Second helpings (two loops/2.12 miles)
- Third helpings (three loops/3.18 miles/5K)
All runners and walkers will be awarded custom medallion finisher medals to commemorate the race and children 13 and under will receive finisher certificates. Standard registration comes with a Sheffield Villlage Turkey Trot '24 tshirt (adult on light tan shirt; youth on white shirt, as shown below) with the design pictured on this page. Participants also have the option to opt out of receiving a shirt.
We will have a group warm up starting at 8:20am and plan to have finisher area refreshments available as well! Whether you want to walk, run, strut, or just hang out with neighbors, plan to join us on Thanksgiving morning!
In order to meet production timelines, you must register by November 19 to guarantee you receive a shirt! Registrations will be accepted after November 19 but will not include a tshirt.
Volunteers
We will also need up to 5 volunteers to help with set up, registration/check-in, refreshments, and break down. Volunteers can register and receive a tshirt at a discounted price! Please contact us if you want to volunteer but not receive a shirt (in which case, your "registration" would be free!).
Donating to the Alameda County Food Bank
Finally, this will be our third year donating net proceeds to the Alameda County Food Bank, on behalf of our neighborhood (and will submit for the full donation amount to be matched by an employer), so please consider donating or sponsoring (we've added a $50 second dessert level this year!) to underwrite costs and help us reach our donation goal! We will share with the neighborhood the full amount donated and amount matched.
Last year we donated $1,100 and got that matched for $2,200 total donated to the food bank (in 2022 we donated $1,000 and got that matched for $2,000). What an amazing testament to the generosity of our neighborhood! We would love to donate a total of $2,500 this year (meaning we're hoping to raise $1,250 net proceeds from the event).
If you own or work for a small business that would like to sponsor the event in exchange for logo or name placement on the backs of the shirts, please see the sponsorship options on the tickets page. Families can also sponsor and get your names on the shirts! More sponsors = higher net proceeds = a larger donation to our friends and neighbors at the Alameda County Food Bank!
Sponsorship Levels:
Main Course: $500
Side Dish: $250
Dessert: $100
Second Dessert: $50
To meet production timelines, Sponsorships must be confirmed by November 18.
