About this Event
REGISTRATION AVAILABLE BEGINNING MAY 25TH
Chicago for Chicagoans is delighted to announce the return of our two-hour walk through Sheffield Neighbors — a historic community on the eastern side of Lincoln Park! Led by local resident Olivia Sobieraj, this tour will awaken you to the rich history and gorgeous Victorian architecture of this quiet pocket neighborhood.
Beginning at the Armitage Brown Line, you'll explore landmarked row homes and several unique micro-districts, learn about cabage farmers, famous businesses, and ornate churches, and discover how midcentury gentrification changed the composition of the community forever. The afternoon will end at Annette's Italian Ice, where participants are encouraged to enjoy a tasty treat with the group!

Chicago for Chicagoans happily exists as a "pay-what-you-can" tour service. A suggested tip of $10-20 per person is always appreciated, but reviewing us on Yelp, liking us on Facebook, spreading the word, and attending future tours tells us how much you love us too! We are a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates inclusive walking tours by & for Chicago residents, designed to represent the histories of all Chicagoans.
