This series is a year-long course beginning in 2026 that will be taking students through every step in processing Fiber to produce a Shawl starting with a Sheep (aprox 40 hours). This includes Shearing, Skirting, Washing, Card/Comb/Batt/Fluff, Spinning, Dyeing, Plying, Crochet. See expanded description below for individual class information and course formatWe will be coordinating with a local farm and this course’s start date will based on their shearing date. Students can expect to start around May and attend one class per month through the end of the year.
The first class will be the date of the Shearing where students will participating in skirting and washing the fleece. Dates will be updated here as soon as we have them. Students may sign up in advance and will be notified by end of March early April the first class date.
MULTIPLE DATES FOR EACH CLASS IN THE SERIES WILL BE OFFERED – students will then attend the date that works best for them with the option to join more.
