About this Event
In this two-part workshop, you will learn how to make a pair of handmade shearling slippers from start to finish. No previous experience is necessary, and we will provide all materials and supplies.
You will start by choosing the shearling colors you’d like to use and deciding whether you want a round or pointed toe. Then, we will trace and cut out our patterns, cut a durable leather sole, hammer the stitching holes into the pattern pieces, and hand-stitch them together to assemble the slippers. Last but not least, you will have the option to add a collage of colorful shearling on top of your slippers.
This part is optional; you can also leave your slippers unadorned if you want to keep it minimal! You’ll leave with a pair of handmade, customized, super cool slippers that will last through many seasons.
This workshop is beginner-friendly. We will be using sharp scissors, mallets, and small metal hand tools, so you’ll need to be comfortable gripping tools, hammering, and hand-stitching.
