About this Event
Welcome to our next She Shoreham event!
- Date: Wednesday 6th May
- Time: 7pm arrival - talk starts at 7.30pm
- Location: The Circular Space, Shoreham-by-Sea
Our May event will be led by community member, Rosie Baggs, which will cover what happens when you start unlearning expectations, redefine success on your own terms, and build a life that feels more sustainable, supportive and fulfilling.
What you’ll gain from attending:
- A refreshing perspective on success and ambition
- Reassurance if you’ve ever felt “out of step” with traditional paths
- Honest conversations around mental health and neurodiversity
About Rosie Baggs:
Rosie did everything “right” on paper - a high achiever at school, a first-class maths degree, and a career path that looked set for success. Yet for a decade, she struggled with cycles of depression while navigating her identity, trying to fit in, meet expectations, and manage daily life in ways others might find simple.
A journey through sobriety, grief, and a series of life-changing diagnoses - including autism, ADHD, and severe endometriosis - taught Rosie that the challenge wasn’t a lack of effort, but a lack of understanding and acceptance.
This talk is about what Rosie has had to unlearn, the lessons she's picked up, and how she has redefined success into something that may look less impressive on the outside - but is far more sustainable, fulfilling, and empowering in reality!
