About this Event

S.H.E. stands for Sisterhood, Humor & Empowerment!

Cost: $300 per session, includes GirlSpring t-shirt and lunch.

Our program is dedicated to empowering girls and young women to make confident and powerful choices in their lives. Participants will develop the skills they need to express their own unique voice, encourage a positive self-image and the formation of healthy relationships. Through improv, dance, crafts, storytelling, group discussion, and plenty of laughs- SHE Campers will gain tools they need to achieve full self-expression.

NO Comedy, Improv or Theatre experience needed! Just a willingness to have fun!

Camp is taught by SHE Camp co-founder Jessica Antes of Chicago's The Second City theater.

July 20-24 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Campers seperated by age group 9-12 or 13-16

All campers will meet in the afternoon Friday, July 24 for a family and friends performance!


Instructor and SheCamp Developer: Jessica Antes, a Second City trained actor

Jessica Antes is an actor, writer, and teacher. She is a Chicago native with a BA in Film from Columbia College Chicago, as well as a graduate of the Second City Training Center's Conservatory, Comedy Writing Program, Music Conservatory, and iO Chicago. She teaches both children and adults at the Second City Training Center in Chicago and various artist in residencies at schools in the Chicago land area. She has also taught special Improv workshops at The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and Act Out Academy in Birmingham, Alabama. Jessica is a co-creator of a female-identifying comedy training program called S.H.E. Camp (Sisterhood Humor & Empowerment) that focuses on empowerment and encouraging young women to develop their own unique artistic voice.
