The Shawtown Neighborhood (in coordination with the City of Eau Claire) is holding its annual neighborhood clean up event. We are looking for volunteers of all ages to help clean our parks, trails and green spaces.
This is an excellent opportunity to be active and make a difference while enjoying what should be beautiful weather.
All volunteers should meet at Newell Playground at 9:00 am for area assignments.
We are assigned to clean:
- Newell Playground
- Dog Park
- Green Spaces
- Sherman Creek Area (New Park)
Garbage bags will be provided. We will request t-shirts but cannot guarantee specific availability. Pre-registration will increase chances of having available shirts.
We recommend wearing appropriate clothing for picking up litter and gloves. Garbage will be returned to Newell Playground to be collected and properly disposed.
