Taking in a wide range of landscape representations and portrayals of social identities, this lecture offers a critical introduction to some of the most striking expressions of nationhood that have marked the history of painting, sculpture, printmaking and film from the 18th to the 20th century in the francophone, anglophone and Indigenous communities at work on the territories that are today known as Quebec and Canada.
