About this Event
Dear NPU-P Residents,
On behalf of Neighborhood Planning Unit P (NPU-P), I am excited to invite you to a special community event showcasing potential innovative concepts for the Campbellton/Kimberly Road Corridor, known as Project Elevate.
Under the leadership of Professor Ellen Dunham-Jones, Georgia Tech’s School of Architecture Master’s Class created a studio project and has worked in six dynamic teams to create visionary proposals for this underdeveloped corridor in our community. These concepts explore strategies for:
- Equitable development
- Affordable housing
- Transportation improvements
- Ecological resilience
- Economic vitality
Your input is imperative. This is your opportunity to help shape what the future could look like for our community. Together, we can imagine a corridor that reflects the beauty of our “City in the Forest” while modeling new possibilities for equitable development across the Southeast.
This event is hosted in partnership with Georgia Tech. The studio’s work will be compiled into a professionally illustrated, publicly accessible report to inspire dialogue among communities, landowners, developers, and public agencies.
You will receive an email to review the designs prior to this event. Please be prepared to vote on the concepts during our virtual NPU meeting on Monday, February 2 at 7 p.m.Let’s spark bold, community-informed strategies that align with Atlanta’s vision and create a vibrant future for generations to come.
We look forward to seeing you there!
