Hosts: Shaun Chapman and Amanda with Wild Meadow ReadingsAges 16+, Wheel experience and pre-registration required.
Experienced wheel throwers are invited for an evening of tarot reading and intention setting at this fun ceramic workshop! Your evening will begin with small hand-building projects to start getting your wheels turning on what you'd like to focus on the remainder of the year. You'll have the tools and clay provided to make magnets, beads, or pieces to attach to your wheel as you await your card reading. Within the first hour of the event, you'll have the opportunity to have a sacred conversation with Amanda, who will offer nuanced, intuitive guidance through tarot or oracle cards. This is not a surface-level reading—it’s a grounded, reflective experience designed to help you clarify what you are calling in, releasing, or reshaping in your life. You’ll leave this portion with a clear personal intention to carry forward.
In the second hour, you’ll move from insight to embodiment at the pottery wheel. This workshop is designed for experienced bowl throwers, as instruction won't be included in this portion. With uninterrupted time at the wheel, you’ll translate your intention into clay, shaping a manifestation bowl infused with meaning, focus, and personal symbolism. The wheel becomes a meditation; your hands become the spell. Once your bowl is built, you'll get to choose from our selection of dip glazes for your piece. We'll do all of the remaining work—drying, bisque-firing, dip glazing, and glaze firing. After your bowl and hand-built extras have been fired, you'll receive notification to pick them up!
Please wear clothes you’re okay with getting messy and plan to remove all jewelry. Long hair will need to be pulled back and short nails are recommended while on the wheel.
