About this Event
92% of adults find life after cancer harder than cancer treatment.
At Life after Cancer, we run support groups, workshops, and 6-week programmes for individuals post-cancer treatment, led by trained coaches with personal cancer experience. 98% of our community members report feeling less isolated and experiencing improved mental wellbeing after attending our services.
Workshop Description:
Join us for an impactful workshop focused on supporting individuals in shaping their cancer stories and choosing how to share their experience.
Research shows that sharing personal cancer narratives can help process experiences, lead to empowerment, and improve wellbeing.
This workshop is an opportunity for everyone, regardless of where you are in your journey. Whether you have already figured out how to tell your story or are still working on it, this is a chance to reflect, be open to change, and support others.
Together, we’ll reflect, write, and connect in a supportive space to help you process your experiences, build confidence, and support your wellbeing.
Our facilitator: Groups are facilitated by trained coaches who have personal experience of cancer.
What to bring: A notebook and pen to capture your thoughts.
Who is this for? Anyone who has finished cancer treatment and is looking to enhance their mental wellbeing, connect with others, and increase their community.
The aim: To improve physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing while reducing isolation.
Spaces are limited: Capacity is limited, so please sign up early. You’ll receive a Zoom link a few hours before the session starts.
Cost: Donations support the continuation of Life after Cancer's services. Free tickets are available thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. If free spots are full and you’re unable to afford a space, email us at [email protected] with your name and the event you’d like to attend - we’re here to help.
