About this Event
What potential do you see in the lands where the rivers meet?
150 years ago, the North-West Mounted Police arrived in what is now Calgary, setting in motion a series of events that would forever change the land and its people. From the First Nations who have called this land home for millennia, to the Mounties and settlers, we’ll discuss the complex and often difficult stories that have shaped Calgary.
Today, The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland is creating a strategy to help guide future changes to the land here, as a harmonious meeting place for all (theconfluence.ca/siteconceptplan).
Led by Confluence staff and the O2 design team, explore the site with us to learn about the past, discuss the present, and imagine the future as it continues to evolve 150 years later.
