Shamanic journey- what is it and what are altered states of consciousness for?
About this Event

In this workshop, we will delve into the teachings of shamanism, learn how to alter our state of consciousness, navigate the deep spiritual worlds the drum. At the end of the workshop you will relax to the soothing sounds of the violin, piano, and voice, allowing you to reflect and integrate all the knowledge and experiences gained throughout our journey together.

Concept:

Shamanism is the oldest human tradition of spiritual practice and healing. The shaman is considered by many to be the ancient precursor to the doctor and psychotherapist. Although many people associate the practice of shamanism with Native Americans and exotic cultures, it is a worldwide phenomenon and shamanic practices have occurred almost everywhere.

As a professional musician I understand and use a nonverbal language of emotions daily bringing rhythm and harmony together. Using the medicine of sound and vibration, shamanic drum serves not only as a transporter to other realms but also as a healing entity- it is also associated with a heartbeat which facilitates a deep state of connection with nature. Through that we understand and feel, that nature reflects our essence, helping us understand ourselves, our relationships and our connection with a natural world.
