Formed in 2011, the band has built a reputation for delivering one awe-inspiring live moment after another.
Led by the visionary guitar work and commanding vocal presence of Mark Masson, Shaky Feelin taps into the Trey Anastasio school of bad-assery—pairing soaring leads with a buttery tone that launches listeners straight into a galactic garden of delights. As each show unfolds, the band siphons the room’s collective energy into an ever-expanding improvisational vortex, creating those unmistakable moments when you catch yourself thinking, “I can’t believe how good these guys are.”
Drawing heavily from Phish, the Grateful Dead, String Cheese Incident, and a wide spectrum of influences including classic rock, reggae, bluegrass, funk, jazz, blues, and ’90s alternative, Shaky Feelin has mastered the rare art of stylistic freedom with cohesion. Their sets seamlessly weave rock, funk, bluegrass, reggae, blues, jazz, and beyond—often mashing up songs on the fly—while still feeling like one complete, intentional musical journey.
The rhythm section is a powerhouse. Jeff Hiller’s intricate, dance-driven bass grooves lock in with the polyrhythmic fire of Paul Menchaca’s drumming and Cameron Probe’s percussion, opening gateways into alternate dimensions. Ed Lyon’s keyboards add melodic, technicolor textures that glue it all together, elevating each performance into an all-out dance party.
With 80+ original songs in active rotation and an endless catalog of covers spanning classic rock, oldies, reggae, ’90s rock, country, Motown, and more, Shaky Feelin has an intuitive ability to read any crowd and deliver exactly what the moment calls for. Voracious live music lovers themselves, the band is always writing, always evolving, and always chasing the next inspired jam.
Shaky Feelin has released four full-length studio albums, with a live compilation drawn from the past 12 months on the way. Following that release, the band will return to the studio for their fifth full-length album, slated for release before the end of 2026.
A proven festival favorite, Shaky Feelin is proudly and regularly invited back thanks to consistently high attendee feedback. Festival appearances include June Lake Jam Festival (8x), Skull & Roses Festival (5x), OC Music Festival (4x), and Lucidity Festival (3x). They have shared the stage with an impressive list of artists including Little Feat, Galactic, Pink Talking Phish, ALO, The Motet, Phil & Friends, JGB with Melvin Seals, Cubensis, Jerry’s Middle Finger, Dogs in a Pile, and more.
In 2020, the band was invited to perform on Jam in the Van, with the session available on YouTube. Accolades include Best Live Band at the 2014 Ventura Music Awards, being named a “Band on the Verge” by Relix in 2015, and winning the 2016 JEMP Radio Best Band Contest through a national fan vote.
Having performed throughout California and across Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, and beyond, Shaky Feelin is fired up to hit the road harder than ever—expanding tours, playing more festivals, and continuing to spread the groove wherever the feeling is right.
