Join Bhakti Sisters Kristen Ambrosi and Dana Kaplan for a renewal of body, mind and spirit through the practice of Kirtan.Kristen, who resides in CT, and Dana first met at David Newman’s Kirtan College in Yogaville in the fall of 2015. It was an instant heart connection and beautiful vocal blending. They have been looking to collaborate ever since and are so excited that it is finally happening!
About our visiting artist: Kristen is appreciated for her warm presence and moving vocals. This devotional, uplifting practice of bhakti yoga – gathering interfaith groups where all voices blend into one-brings her heart home. She has been leading kirtan at studios throughout the northeast and at Yoga Festivals including Lovelight and BlessFest. She has been privileged to sing response alongside renowned kirtan leaders such as Dave Stringer, Brenda McMorrow, Mirabai Moon, Johanna Beekman, Scott Hari Whitmore, David Newman and her beloved sister Sangita. Kristen offers live chanting to support students’ meditation and restoration for her own yoga classes as well as for her respected teacher, Jillian Pransky’s popular retreats at Kripalu, Omega and other venues. She leads yoga teacher training workshops on incorporating chant into classes, offers harmonium and mantra lessons for yoga instructors, and is in the development on her heart-project, an album of devotional chant.
