Shakin with Seniors (MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND)

Each year, as part of its MLK Service Project, The X-Perience Dance Company—a youth-based dance organization—hosts its annual Shakin’ with Seniors intergenerational event. During this gathering, our dancers lead a series of movement activities, perform for the seniors, and then spend time connecting and engaging in meaningful conversations while enjoying light refreshment. This year, our dancers will also get to see what it's like to engage in senior friendly fitness hosted by YMCA staff, This event serves as a catalyst to bridge the gap between generations and strengthen the bond between the youth and seniors in our community.
If you know of an aging adult, please register them for this event!
We are also looking for outside volunteers to help set/ up, break down and serve the seniors.
