Hosted by stand-up comedians Carinda Rae Larson and Laura Schumacher, this weekly spectacle combines razor-sharp wit, unfiltered honesty, and delightful chaos for a night that’s as unpredictable as it is unforgettable.
Each Wednesday night at Acadia Café, Shady Babies serves up a rotating lineup of the Twin Cities’ boldest, weirdest, and most brilliant comedians. From seasoned pros to rising stars, the comics we showcase are always hilarious—and sometimes a little unhinged (in the best way). Carinda and Laura don’t just host the show—they set the tone with their own dynamic blend of dark humor, storytelling, and pure joyful nonsense.
But it doesn’t stop at comedy. Live music kicks off at 7pm, featuring local legends Geoffrey Fischbein and Jeremy Rose, who bring an eclectic, soul-soaked vibe to the stage. Geoff, with his red hair, warm smile, and guitar in hand, pairs perfectly with Jeremy’s signature look—aviator sunglasses, a newsboy cap, lip ring, and keys that somehow make you feel things.
