“SHADOWS” gives us a peek behind the curtains and an opportunity to celebrate the singers who stood center stage inside the smoky clubs, speakeasies and cabarets of the 1940’s. During “the “Golden Era Of Nightclubs,” live music thrived in intimate settings that felt raw and real.LISA KANTOR pays homage and weaves in and out of this extraordinary era with the songs of Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, the Gershwins, Peggy Lee and more. Through the singers’ voices that were integrally woven into the fabric of the times, Lisa invites inside the club, where the music tells stories, people are transported, and the energy is always electric!
