On this special Shabbat Shirah (Sabbath of Song), REVIVAL’s singers Lea Kalisch and Julia Ostrov will join our services to offer original spiritual folk songs with themes of love and justice. Monthly Joyful Prayer Minyan & Torah Study with REVIVAL Ensemble
Saturday, February 4, 9:00 a.m.
Temple Israel Minneapolis
Together with Rabbi Moss, REVIVAL’s songwriter Kristen Plylar-Moore and singers Lea Kalisch and Julia Ostrov will offer a presentation and study of Kristen's original songwriting based on the Hebrew bible. Cantor Sharett-Singer will chant the Song of the Sea using the special trope for Shabbat Shirah.

Luminary Havdalah

Levin Triangle Park
Luminary Havdalah is a free community-wide gathering outdoors at Levin Park, just east of Lake of the Isles, at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th. Jews and friends from around the Twin Cities are invited to come together to sing, celebrate, and bring some light into this special winter’s night.

REVIVAL is a spiritual folk-rock show with songs of love and justice. Original story-driven music by Kristen Plylar-Moore is performed by Julia Ostrov, Lea Kalisch, and instrumentalists. Inspired and uplifting, the songs draw largely from Hebrew biblical texts and are rooted in universal themes of love, justice, and the celebration of the divine in each of us.
