Sgt. Splendor brings their high-voltage live set to The Lobo for a night of deep grooves, dark charm, and seriously dialed-in musicianship. This is a 21+ show made for people who actually listen.
Before joining forces, the duo were already forces of nature on their own. Vocalist/songwriter Kate Vargas has drawn praise from tastemakers like NPR, HuffPost, American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, and Vice, earning a nod from legendary critic Robert Christgau along the way. Guitarist Eric McFadden has toured and recorded with icons including George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars, Anders Osborne, Karl Denson, Stockholm Syndrome, and Eric Burdon & The Animals, plus session work with artists ranging from Jackson Browne to Joe Strummer of The Clash.
Together as Sgt. Splendor, they blend gritty rock, soulful vocals, and funk-laced guitar work into a live show that feels dangerous in all the right ways-part cosmic dive bar, part church of distortion.
