Footprints on the Heart has been providing free bereavement services and support to families across NW Georgia since 2011. Our ministry has attended the SGM training numerous times and we know how vital this training is. Everyday families experience pregnancy loss and infant death and by hosting this training FOTH seeks to help equip nurses, physicians, midwives, chaplains, social workers, doulas, photographers, organizations, funeral staff, and support teams to walk alongside grieving families. We would love to have you join us for this training. We know firsthand that statistics regarding pregnancy and infant loss are staggering across the United States as a whole, but especially in Georgia. Pregnancy loss affects 1 in 4 pregnancies and according to Star Legacy Foundation's 2022 Stillbirth Scorecard, Georgia has the 3rd highest stillbirth rate (7.9 per 1,000 live births, in comparison the US stillbirth rate of 5.5).
Meals, snacks, and training manual provided (student rate $50, early bird registration $100 (until May 1st), standard registration $150 (closes June 1st).
